We (my boyfriend Sander and I) are leaving London on Tuesday 29th August with no return flight or date in mind (sometime mid-next-year is our estimate). Our first destination is Sri Lanka, where we'll spend two months. We're spending a couple of days in Colombo and then travelling down the west coast beaches to Galle and then inland for a bit before heading east and Arugam Bay. Hopefully there'll be lots of yoga, surf and sand. We'll finish our Sri Lankan trip with a visit inland to Kandy, temples and the tea plantations.
From Sri Lanka we head to Southern Indian; Kerala and Goa. We haven't planned too much of this part of the trip, but I'm sure we will find our way around this beautiful part of India. We would love to cruise the backwaters of Kerala and perhaps visit Mysore, the home of Ashtanga yoga.
We're heading from the busy streets of Mumbai to Nepal and taking part in the Everest base camp trek!! I am so excited about this one, I adore trekking and spent a lot of my childhood in the Alps, so I can't wait to see the majestic Himalayas.
That's the first few months of our trip & from there we will head into South East Asia, we have many places we want to see and we'll see where we end up.
We are both so excited to push our boundaries, visit countries we have heard lots about but never visited. And, live a more outdoor life than the one we can in London during the Autumn and Winter months.
Here on this blog I'll share photos and anecdotes of our travels and I hope you enjoy following our journey,
